Custom "FAST 2" 14.3mm Large Planar Magnetic Driver
"FAST 2" is the codename for the 14.3mm diameter planar driver unit custom-developed by HIDIZS. It utilizes nano-level planar speaker diaphragms with a diameter of 14.3mm. This large diaphragm offers advantages in audio information and dynamic range compared to other types of driver units.
Carefully tuned by HIDIZS' acoustic laboratory, it accurately responds to audio signals across all frequency ranges. The MP143 Salt delivers high-fidelity sound reproduction with greater accuracy, richness, and natural audio detail.

Salt, is an extraordinary whale and possibly one of the most famous humpback whales in the world. Researchers began identifying and cataloging individuals as early as 1975, and she was among the first humpback whales to be identified, known for her iconic large white dorsal fin. She was also one of the first humpback whales to be given a name. We know she is at least 47 years old, and her lineage extends to 15 children, 17 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren.
Tracking studies of Salt have provided us with invaluable insights into whales. Salt is a respected "teacher". Moreover, whales serve as ocean gardeners, maintaining the health of marine environments, cycling nutrients, and fertilizing tiny plant-like organisms such as phytoplankton, which sequester carbon. The amount of carbon dioxide captured by these phytoplankton annually is roughly equivalent to that absorbed by 1.48 trillion trees!
WDC (Whale & Dolphin Conservation) is working diligently to reduce the threats to Salt and her friends and family, the Whale Adoption Project – Symbolically Adopt A Whale supports WDC’s mission to protect marine mammals, expand rescue efforts and inspire global action and education programs. As part of their educational and advocacy efforts, WDC also created a life-size model of whales. This educational tool aims to help people understand the size, anatomy, and challenges facing these magnificent creatures.

What is a Planar Magnetic Driver?
Planar Drivers, also known as Planar Magnetic Drivers, deliver unparalleled clarity across a wide frequency range, boasting ultra-low distortion. Their diaphragm material is expertly suspended within robust magnetic fields, ensuring exceptional performance. Hi-Res Audio stands for High Resolution Audio, representing high-resolution audio quality. The Hi-Res logo, often referred to as the "Little Gold Label," features a black design on a gold background. All Hidizs earphone products have received Hi-Res certification, ensuring that their audio performance meets the Hi-Res specifications set by JEITA (Japan Electronics and Information Technology Industries Association), guaranteeing high-quality audio. As per the JEITA specification, the analog audio frequency response must exceed 40kHz, while the digital audio sampling rate should surpass 96kHz/24 bit.
